Mission Statement

Caption Colorado's mission is to be the preferred provider of realtime closed captioning services in the United States and to bring the world of information and entertainment to the deaf and hard-of-hearing in the highest possible quality format.

Our Goal

The purpose and ultimate goal of Caption Colorado's Quality Assurance Program is to assure for our customers the highest quality captioning and service. If you are a deaf or hard-of-hearing person who relies on television closed captioning, and you reside in one of the top cities across the United States, (please see list to the right) and are concerned about the poor quality of captions on local news programming on an individual station or program … then let us know!  We will provide a full quality evaluation and report on a limited number of programs each calendar month at no expense to you.  Just send us a VHS tape or DVD of the programming, and a return address for us to send you our report, and we will take it from there.

Because we would like to provide as many members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community this opportunity, we ask that you submit only one 30 minute live broadcast for evaluation.

When sending us programming for evaluation, please include the following:

• Name
• Address
• E-mail Address
• Station
• Station Location
• Date and time of Broadcast
• An indication as to whether or not you would like your media returned

Once we receive the above information we will provide you with a quality evaluation of the captions.  You should receive your expert quality evaluation in the mail within two weeks of receipt of your submission.
