Public Address System Captioning
Caption Colorado now offers a captioning solution for deaf and hard of hearing
sports fans which gives them access to announcements over the public address
systems at stadiums and event centers across the nation. Our captioning system
uses the only technology that is capable of assuring coverage of 100% of the
stadium (i.e. seats, boxes, corridors, halls, concession areas, stairways,
bathrooms, etc.) at all times before during and after the event. This important
feature assures that deaf fans will always have immediate access to emergency
announcements and instructions, as well as normal game time announcements,
advertisements, promotional fan giveaways, player information and play-by-play
coverage of the game. Our system uses small hand-held alphanumeric pagers to
present the captioning to the deaf fan. The use of pagers, verses jumbotrons,
digital displays, or similar devices, assures a discreet service that will not
distract or interfere with the enjoyment of the game by other fans.
Our first customer was Invesco Field at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos
and the Colorado Rapids. Caption Colorado has since added several new customers
including Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of
Pittsburgh Panthers, and Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia
Eagles. With each new customer, Caption Colorado provides a turnkey package
including all equipment, FCC licensing, and the expertise of our highly skilled
engineer for the installation and testing prior to the first event. Once the
system is in place, we also provide the continued captioning service and
support with our team of over 100 highly skilled real-time captioners and our 3
full time customer and technical support specialists.
