Caption Colorado is proud to say we have never failed to cover an emergency
event regardless of short notice or the duration or expanse of the emegency:
-
Hurricane Katrina
-
San Francisco Earthquake
-
Hurricane Rita
-
Columbine High School Incident
-
Los Angeles High Speed Police Chase
-
September 11 Terrorist Attack
Our captioner's are located coast-to-coast, alleviating problems associated
with the time of day or night an emergency occurs. Due to their captioning
location remote from the emergency, our captioners are never in harms way of
the emergency.
-
Emergency coverage may last for as little as five minutes to 72 hours. To stay
fresh, efficient and accurate, it is advisable not to have one captioner on the
air for more than two hours continuously. Our large nationwide team of
captioners provides fresh non-stop emergency coverage for the duration.
-
We employ only the most experienced captioners; up to 12 years of realtime
television experience, averaging 4-5 years per person.
-
Our captioners strive for 99% accuracy in their captioning.
