Our Commitment to Quality

Our Bison Software has another important feature, the ability to provide proof of performance for every event we caption.  After the event an “XML file” is automatically produced and transferred to our corporate servers using our Bison Interactive Captioning Console.  The XML file has the full transcript of the original realtime captioning file for the event, with time coding, proof of when our captioner connected to our customer’s facilities, the first and last words of the event were captioned as well as diagnostically supported proof that there were no interruptions of service for technical failures or other reasons.  It also records the encoder responses for the entire program which can be used to verify that the encoder was operating properly for the entire program.  Proof of performance has been an increasingly useful component of our software especially with the increasing trend by the FCC of stricter enforcement of CC regulations.

With other applications in our Bison System we can automatically extract from our XML Files, the realtime captioning transcript, with time coding.  We maintain a full time quality control staff that continuously performs routine random evaluations, without notice, of the quality of captioning being provided by all of our captioners. If we discover that a captioner is not performing up to our minimum quality standards in any respect, we pull that captioner off the air and offer her/him specialty training either from our internal training program or through contract training programs with highly qualified outside companies.
