mobileCap™ is a revolutionary technology that allows real time text streaming of audio events to a wide range of mobile devices. mobileCap™ allows full audio accessability in any setting including event centers, classrooms, meetings and/or other types of events by delivering realtime captioning of everything said on the Public Address system or other audio source to a handheld mobile device.
How it Works: Find Out How mobileCap™ Works
It begins with a captioner, who is listening to a live event at the same time as the mobileCap™ user. The captioner writes the audio portion (everything they hear) of the event using captioning technology. This technology and the skill and training of the captioner allows them to reach speeds up to 250 words per minute. This is the same technology that is used for captioning live TV. Using Caption Colorado's advanced technology, the captioned text produced by the captioner is streamed to the mobileCap™ system allowing the text of the event to be displayed on a handheld mobile device.
